Let's pair you with a puppy! 

We need dog lovers to provide cuddles and care for our Seeing Eye Dogs puppies on their training journey. With your guidance and support, a Seeing Eye Dogs puppy can grow up to make a life-changing impact for a person who is blind or has low vision. 

Before you join our community of dog-loving volunteers, an information session can let you know what’s involved and answer any questions you have. We also have some FAQs.

Upcoming information sessions

Our next online information session is Wednesday, October 21, 6pm to 7pm (AEST).

This session will cover all the details on our caring programs and how you can get involved.

Meet and greet events

Our puppy caring community hold regular ‘meet and greet’ events with their puppy development trainers. Fun and informal, these catch ups are a great way to meet other carers and learn more about the rewarding experience of volunteering for Seeing Eye Dogs.

Mayor’s Great Pet Together (VIC)

Do you work or live in the Frankston local government area?

Will you be attending the Mayor’s Great Pet Together event on and want to learn more about our caring programs?

Then swing past and have a chat with our staff and volunteers on how you can help care for one of our puppies or dogs to help support their time as they learn about the world as they train to help someone who is blind or has low vision.

World Sight Day (VIC)

Seeing Eye Dogs has been invited to attend Storytime at the State Library to bring attention to World Sight Day.

Would you like to learn more about our caring programs while having some snuggles with our gorgeous puppies and dogs after listening to a book that is about a working dog guide?

Then come along on Wednesday, October 7 from 11am to 12pm; 328 Swanston St, Melbourne VIC.

Our staff, volunteers and puppies can not wait to meet you!

Nillumbik’s 28th Annual Pet Expo (VIC)

The Nillumbik Council is celebrating their 28th annual Pet Expo and we have been invited to attend!

Our puppies and dogs will be there, and we will also be doing a little demonstrating for anyone that wants to see them in action.

We will be more than happy to answer any questions you have about joining our caring community.

Dog Lovers Show (VIC)

Have you booked your ticket to attend the Dog Lovers Show?

If you have, then it is a perfect time to come and visit us at the stand to find out how our puppies and dogs train and practice their skills to grow into amazing dog guides for members of our blind and low vision community.

We will be there both days; Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18 from 10am to 3pm.
