What is relief caring

The relief carer program involves shorter term care of puppies at various ages, dogs in training, breeding dogs or graduated dogs that would benefit from a rest in a home environment.

From time to time it is beneficial for our dogs to have time away from kennels to have a break from training or when they need additional care.

Relief caring can vary in duration from one week to several months, depending on the dog’s needs.

Currently available in Central Coast and selected areas in Northern Sydney including Hornsby Shire Council and City of Parramatta NSW only.

Training dog relief care in Victoria

We are now looking for relief carers in Victoria for short term relief care placements for dogs in their formal training stage who are not being actively trained. These care placements could range from a few weeks up to a few months, and carers will not have to drop the dogs on site as often. The dogs in this care may be on medical rest or waiting for a client match or client training. You may need to transport the dog to site for pick up and drop off, and for monthly training sessions.

Have you considered other other caring programs?

To proceed with this application, all details must be of the primary carer only.

Thanks for your interest in puppy caring. Our carer admin team is taking a break over the holiday season (however our puppies are in the wonderful hands of carers, on site staff and volunteers). We look forward to process new applications when the office reopens on January 8. We will be in touch with all new applicants in the new year. Thank you for your patience. Have a safe and happy festive season.
