About Yonder

Yonder is a bright, loyal, and lovable companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s happiest when he’s included in daily life — whether that’s lounging nearby while you work, heading out for an adventure, or soaking up cuddles on the couch. Yonder is easy to live with once he’s settled into a routine and understands the house rules. He sleeps peacefully on his dog bed and doesn't require crating.

Yonder is still working on managing his excitement around other dogs. While he adores canine companions, his enthusiasm can get the better of him, especially near kennels or in highly stimulating environments. With ongoing training and handler support, he’s shown great progress and loves a good off-leash play session at the park.

Where I grew up

Yonder has lived in both solo-dog and multi-dog households. He’s experienced a variety of environments and has developed great house manners. He's a bit particular about where he toilets, so monitoring and consistency during the settling-in period will help him adjust to his new routine.

A good fit for me is...

Yonder is best suited to a calm, consistent home with adults or older children who can respect his space. A family who enjoys regular walks, light training, and relaxed time at home would be ideal. While Yonder loves the company of other dogs, his new family will need to continue working on his dog-distractibility and help him stay calm during interactions.

We’re looking for:

  • A home without very young children (he can be startled by loud noises or sudden movements)
  • Someone committed to continuing his training around dogs
  • Access to quiet walking areas and off-leash time
  • A secure yard and a predictable routine

My personality traits

  • Affectionate and people-focused — he loves to be part of the action
  • Clever and enjoys training
  • Playful and goofy — especially when he's with other dogs
  • Alert — he’ll give a big “woof!” at dogs or people outside, but settles quickly
  • Sensitive — past experiences have made him a little unsure in chaotic environments, but he thrives with patience and structure
  • Improving — with training, his dog-distractibility is becoming more manageable
