About Woody

Woody is a gorgeous, big-hearted boy who is full of contrasts. He can be excitable and strong-willed one moment, then a gentle, squishy marshmallow the next. He adores belly rubs and cuddles, thrives on being close to his people, and has plenty of energy to share. Woody is also resilient and adaptable, with a love for play and adventure

Where I grew up

Woody grew up in a busy family home with a primary school-aged child, another Labrador, and several Seeing Eye Dogs puppies. He’s been exposed to all kinds of environments and experiences, from AFL games and the theatre to movie nights and the office. He took it all in stride, proving himself to be confident and adaptable.

A good fit for me is...

Woody will do best with someone who has time to dedicate to him and who enjoys having a loyal companion by their side. He would thrive with a calm and confident doggy friend to keep him company and help balance his energy. Woody needs an environment where he isn’t left alone for long periods, as he bonds strongly with his people and can struggle when separated. He will suit an owner who is active, patient, and able to set clear boundaries while also enjoying his playful, cuddly side.

My personality traits

  • Playful & Energetic – Woody loves toys, rough-and-tumble play with other dogs, and joining in on adventures.
  • Affectionate & Loyal – He bonds deeply and loves to be close, whether that’s cuddling on the couch or following you from room to room.
  • Strong & Determined – With his big personality (and big head!), Woody is sometimes like a bull in a china shop, but he’s also very responsive when guided with consistency.
  • Sociable & Fun – Woody isn’t fazed by new places or experiences and always wants to make new friends, both human and canine.

Woody will bring endless love, laughs, and loyalty to the right home—a family or individual who can channel his energy, set boundaries, and enjoy the joy and cuddles he offers in return.
