About Que

Que is a sweet-natured, affectionate girl with a happy outlook on life. Recently released from the Seeing Eye Dogs (SED) training program, she’s looking for a loving home that understands her needs and can offer the right balance of structure, activity, and companionship.

Que has a sunny disposition and adores being around her people. She’s happiest when she’s included in day-to-day life and loves going out for walks and outings. She is crate-trained and sleeps peacefully overnight, often choosing to rest in her crate during the day too.

Que can get very excited when greeting familiar friends and family, but she’s been taught to settle before being acknowledged. She loves cuddles, enjoys soft toys (though supervision is recommended, as she can be a bit enthusiastic!), and likes to stay busy. A morning walk or outing helps set her up for a calm day.

She has hairloss from a suspected follicular dysplasia diagnosis, a condition that causes dry, brittle hair and patchy hair loss. It's not itchy or painful, and her comfort is easily managed with regular grooming and supportive skin care (like medicated baths if required)

Where I grew up

Que was raised in a quiet home with a single adult and a three-year-old pet Labrador. She had regular access to a backyard where she enjoyed sunbaking on the mulch and occasionally chewing on sticks and twigs.

She also had weekly visits to a nursing home to see her carer’s parents. During these visits, Que showed remarkable gentleness, calmly interacting with elderly residents—some of whom had loud or unpredictable behaviours that didn’t faze her at all.

A good fit for me is...

Que is looking for a home where she can continue to enjoy an active lifestyle with someone who understands her needs. She’s not suited to long hours alone and will thrive with a family, couple, or individual who can offer companionship and structure.

Her ideal home:

  • can include primary school–aged children or older
  • can provide daily walks or outings (especially in the morning!)
  • can be understanding of her occasional barking at other dogs on walks, and capable of interrupting and rewarding calmer behaviours
  • can have space for her to rest, play, and enjoy her toys

Experience with dogs and gentle behaviour guidance will help her continue to grow into a calm, confident companion.

My personality traits

  • Affectionate – Loves cuddles and being close to her people
  • Happy and eager – Enjoys outings and being included in everyday life
  • Gentle with people – Especially caring and calm around the elderly
  • Dog social – Generally mixes well, though she may bark at other dogs on walks and needs support to settle
  • Cheeky and clever – Will find something to chew if under-stimulated, so she needs a good morning routine
  • Crate trained and calm at home – Can settle well after her daily adventures

If you’re looking for a joyful, affectionate companion with a big heart and a playful spirit, Que may be the perfect fit for your family.
