About Quarter
Quarter is a bright, affectionate young dog with a gentle nature and a big heart. She is not continuing in the Seeing Eye Dogs program as she has an arrhythmia (atrioventricular reciprocating tachycardia), which causes her heart to beat too rapidly for short periods. To acknowledge that she may need monitoring or medication in the future, Quarter has no adoption fee. We recommend that potential adopters have a telehealth appointment with the SED Vet team before proceeding with her adoption to ensure they understand her needs.
Where I grew up
Quarter was raised in a loving home with an adult couple and has also spent time with various dogs visiting the household. She has enjoyed regular visits to a nursing home, where she quickly became a favourite among the residents and staff. Calm, comforting, and always ready for a cuddle, she has been a source of therapy and joy for many.
A good fit for me is...
Quarter will thrive in a home where she can enjoy companionship and be close to her people—whether that’s snoozing in a sunny spot, curling up in her crate, or keeping you company in your office. She is suited to adult households, though she may adapt well to families with older children who understand gentle interactions. She walks beautifully on a flat collar and would love daily strolls and plenty of affection.
