About Jeffrey
Jeffrey is a smart, affectionate, and playful dog who loves being around people and learning new things. He’s a happy, energetic pup who thrives on companionship, exercise, and training. Despite his size, he’s incredibly gentle and loves cuddling up with his humans. He’s well-mannered at home, social, and enjoys both playtime and relaxation.
Jeffrey has transitioned from his working dog training due to some sensitivities with body handling, equipment, and small spaces. He has shown some hesitation with being handled, entering crates, and getting into vehicles. He also displayed sensitivity to wearing certain equipment, sometimes freezing or needing extra encouragement to move forward.
Because of this, he’s looking for a loving pet home where he can enjoy a relaxed lifestyle with a family who understands his needs.
Where I grew up
Jeffrey grew up in a home with two mature adults and is very comfortable in a home office setting. He would happily keep his new family company during work hours, enjoying a relaxed atmosphere while still being close to his people.
Jeffrey's response to vehicles and crates was not experienced in a home setting but manifested during his transition into training.
A good fit for me is...
Jeffrey would thrive in an active home where all family members are engaged in his care and training. He loves his exercise and will need regular walks to keep him happy and healthy. A family willing to continue his training—especially with food rewards—will bring out the best in him. He is not suited to a home with cats.

Smart & Trainable – Learns fast, responds well to commands, and reads body language exceptionally well.
Affectionate & Social – Loves cuddles, leaning on people, and is great with all ages.
Gentle Giant – Despite his size, he’s careful and well-mannered with people and other dogs.
Loves Food Rewards – Enjoys treats like carrots, apples, and bananas, making training a breeze.
Energetic & Playful – Needs regular exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy.
Great Focus & Engagement – Maintains eye contact and listens well to cues.
Comfortable in Various Environments – Not bothered by joggers, cyclists, cars, fireworks, or birds.
Occasional Barking for Attention – Improving with training—ignoring him helps him settle.
Sniffy on Walks – Easily corrected when wearing a Halti.
Mouthy but Responsive – Loves carrying things but will drop them when told "Ta! Ta!"
House-Trained & Well-Mannered – Has free run of the house and settles well, especially after exercise or with something to chew on.
