About Igor
Meet Igor – a gentle, affectionate, and well-mannered boy who has recently been career changed from training. While he excelled in his training and made it all the way through, he won’t be continuing as a guide due to excessive drooling during walks. Igor has also been found to have just one kidney – something he was born with – but his most recent blood tests show normal kidney function. Like people, dogs can live long and healthy lives with one kidney. His adoption fee has been reduced by 50% to help support his future monitoring needs.
Where I grew up
Igor grew up in a loving home and spent his days in a primary school classroom with his carer, where he was a calm, settled presence and adored by students and staff alike. He’s had plenty of exposure to people, children, and other dogs, and he thrived in every environment.
A good fit for me is...
Igor will do best in a home where he has plenty of company – ideally with someone home often. He would love a family with children to dote on him and another friendly dog to play with. A yard to stretch his legs and space to run would make him happiest, along with regular walks to keep him active. His new home should be committed to regular vet checks to monitor his kidney health.
My personality traits
Igor is calm, affectionate, and eager to please. He is very gentle and has excellent manners – if he picks up something he shouldn’t, he’ll happily give it up when asked. He loves attention, cuddles, and being by your side. He’s friendly with other dogs and people, and while he may drool on walks (a stress-related quirk), he otherwise shows no signs of worry. Igor is a loyal companion with a beautiful temperament who will bring endless joy and love to his new family.
