About Chino
Attention all chocolate lovers! Chino is a smart and affectionate dog who will stare straight into your soul with his beautiful amber eyes. He’s looking for a best friend who will appreciate his energetic and mischievous nature. He’s happiest when he’s included in your daily life, with a good balance of outdoor adventures and relaxing cuddles.
Chino loves the company of other dogs and also gets along well with cats. He is highly food motivated and loves learning. He would benefit from some additional training for his home and social behaviour.
Where I grew up
Chino has lived in a few households, but most recently lived with a retired couple in a small beach town. He shared his home with another large dog and has also lived with a cat while in foster care.
Chino thrives with a predictable routine, clear boundaries and regular enrichment. He settles well in a crate and this allows him to be safely left alone for a few hours at a time. If left unsupervised, he can become restless and will attempt to steal and chew household items.
Chino walks well on the lead but can become distracted and excitable around dogs. This can be easily managed by walking him in a headcollar.
A good fit for me is...
Chino is best suited to an active person who has the time and patience to continue his training. He would prefer to be your constant companion but can be left alone for a few hours if needed. He would enjoy the company of another playful dog or confident older children but would not suit a home with small children.
