About Zepplin

Zepplin is a gentle, affectionate boy who loves being close to his people and thrives in a calm, supportive home. He’s not continuing in the Seeing Eye Dogs training program due to his lower resilience — he can sometimes find certain people or dogs on walks a little concerning — but he has so many lovely qualities that will make him a wonderful family companion.
Zepplin walks beautifully on lead, settles easily at home, and loves a good cuddle or quiet nap nearby. He’s a sweet and steady presence indoors, happy to relax in his crate or on his day bed, and always eager to please.

Where I grew up

Zepplin grew up in a loving family home with three adult children and two other dogs — both from Seeing Eye Dogs. He’s had lots of positive social experiences with people and animals and has been an easy, well-mannered companion around the house.
He’s been exposed to different environments, including shops, events, and busy public spaces, where he’s shown excellent behaviour and confidence. His main challenges are during quieter street walks, where he can become unsure of people or dogs in the distance.

A good fit for me is...

Zepplin would love a calm, structured home with experienced dog owners who can gently support him when he feels uncertain. He’s happiest when he has guidance and reassurance, so a confident handler who understands canine body language and fear behaviours will help him thrive.
He would do well living with another calm, confident dog — ideally a larger or older one — who can help him feel secure on walks. Because of his sensitivity, a quieter home without small children would likely suit him best.
A suburban or semi-rural home with a safe yard would be ideal, as would daily opportunities for relaxed walks in less busy areas.

My personality traits

•    Gentle & Loving: Zepplin is a sweet-natured companion who adores being part of family life.
•    Calm Indoors: He settles beautifully at home, rarely barks, and is happy in his crate or relaxing on his bed.
•    Sensitive & Thoughtful: On street walks, he can become worried by people or dogs in the distance, showing signs like barking or tensing up. With reassurance and calm handling, he recovers well.
•    Playful but Polite: He enjoys chew toys and durable soft toys, treating them gently. He can sometimes nibble on bark or sticks in the yard.
•    Lovely to Walk: On most walks, he heels beautifully on a chest harness or flat collar — he’s a joy to handle when relaxed and confident.
