About Jersey
Jersey is a very likeable girl with a loving nature who has enjoyed being part of family life and getting out and about with her carer. She is well behaved around the home, patient when asked to wait, and loves being included in everyday activities.
Jersey is not continuing in the Seeing Eye Dogs program as she has shown ongoing signs of stress and sensitivity to sounds. She can startle at sudden or repeated noises, even when they are not particularly loud, and may show stress through behaviours such as sniffing or scratching. She is now looking for a home where she can enjoy life as a much-loved companion.
Where I grew up
Jersey grew up in a suburban home with a single mature-aged adult and no other pets. She is accustomed to a fairly settled routine, with quiet evenings balanced with regular outings.
She has joined her carer at the gym, attended the workplace where she settled calmly in her crate, and accompanied her carer when visiting family and friends or going out for a meal.

Jersey would suit a loving home that can provide her with consistency, reassurance and a predictable routine, particularly around unexpected noises.
She enjoys being social and is very interested in the world around her. On walks she loves stopping to sniff and is keen to interact with the people and dogs she meets. Jersey particularly loves children, so a home where she can enjoy appropriate time with kids could be a lovely match.
