About Zolton
Zolton is a gentle, intelligent boy looking for a calm and understanding home where he can feel safe and settled.
While he can initially be a little aloof with new people, he forms strong bonds with those he knows and trusts. He enjoys being close to his family and has become increasingly affectionate as he has matured, although he is generally more of a companion than a lap dog.
Zolton is highly food motivated, enjoys learning, and is quick to pick up new skills. He is a clever problem solver who approaches training enthusiastically and responds well to positive reinforcement. At home, he is calm, well-mannered and able to settle independently, often choosing to relax nearby or rest in his crate while his people go about their day.
Although successful in many aspects of his training, Zolton has remained sensitive to environmental pressures. He can become worried by sudden or loud noises and often shows signs of stress during walks, including checking in with his handler, lip licking and hesitation. He benefits from patient support and a lifestyle that does not require frequent exposure to busy or unpredictable environments.
Where I grew up
Zolton was raised in a suburban home with two mature adults and experienced a wide range of everyday activities throughout his development.
His routine included regular walks, public transport trips, car travel, café visits, gym sessions, choir practice, Zumba classes and running errands. He also experienced workplace environments during puppyhood and now regularly relaxes alongside his carer while they work from home.
He has lived successfully with a cat and currently resides alongside chickens, showing respectful behaviour around other animals. He has adapted well to a variety of home environments and has never had difficulty with stairs, travel or changes in routine within the home.

Zolton is comfortable spending time alone when needed and settles exceptionally well in the home. He may occasionally alert bark at unfamiliar noises or changes in his environment, particularly during the adjustment period, but otherwise has excellent house manners.
