About Imogen
Imogen is a beautiful, affectionate dog looking for a loving home where she can be part of everyday life. She thrives on companionship and enjoys spending her days alongside her people, whether that is relaxing at home, heading out for errands, or joining them on a daily walk.
Imogen was career changed from the Seeing Eye Dogs program after finding it difficult to maintain focus on her work when other dogs were present. While this made her unsuitable for guide dog work, it does not affect her ability to be a wonderful family companion.
Where I grew up
I grew up in a suburban household with a mature couple and their pet Labrador. My family had an average activity level and included me in daily life at home and in the community.
A typical day for me starts around 6:00 to 7:00 am, followed by breakfast. I enjoy spending time with my people throughout the day, whether we’re at home, out shopping, or relaxing together. I’m used to having meals at 7:00 am and 5:00 pm and generally settle well after dinner. At night, I am happy to sleep in my crate and usually settle for bed around 9:00 to 9:30 pm.
I also enjoy spending time in the backyard with other dogs and have experience living alongside a resident Labrador.

Health Information
Imogen has a history of recurrent allergic skin disease (dermatitis) which has required intermittent veterinary treatment, including Cytopoint injections, topical treatments, antibiotics and monitoring.
Her condition is currently well managed, with no evidence of severe or poorly controlled disease. However, future flare-ups are likely, and adopters should be prepared for ongoing monitoring and occasional veterinary treatment.
To support her transition into a suitable home, Imogen's adoption fee has been reduced by 50%.

I learn quickly and respond well to training. I enjoy working with my people and pick up new skills with enthusiasm.

I can be excited first thing in the morning, but after breakfast I settle quickly and am ready for the day ahead.
Resilient
Like many dogs, I can be distracted by other dogs, but I recover quickly and refocus well when supported.
