About Valli

Valli is a gentle, affectionate girl who is ready to find a calm and consistent home where she can settle and feel secure. She brings a lovely mix of soft temperament and playful energy, and enjoys being connected to her people.
Valli has transitioned out of the Seeing Eye Dogs program due to distraction around other dogs, and is now looking for a home that can support her as a companion.

Where I grew up

I grew up in a quiet suburban home with one adult and another pet dog. I’ve also spent time in the Seeing Eye Dogs training environment, which has helped build my foundation in routine and handling.
In the home, I am well behaved when my people are around and enjoy being part of the day-to-day routine.

A good fit for me is...

Valli would do best in a home that can provide:
A calm, stable environment with consistent routines
Support to manage her responses towards other dogs
Regular mental and physical engagement to keep her settled and fulfilled
Limited time alone, as she prefers company
She enjoys the presence of another dog and would benefit from structured, well-managed interactions, but her responses mean introductions and ongoing management will be important.

My personality traits

Gentle, affectionate, and people-focused
Playful and can be excitable
Food motivated and responsive to training
Enjoys walking and being active
Has coped well with change and new environments
Benefits from structure and engagement
Home Life & Routine
Walks well on a head collar
Crate trained and comfortable using a crate during the day or overnight
Slept in her crate overnight in her carer home
Can seek out items to chew or counter surf if bored or unsupervised
Would benefit from daily play and enrichment, ideally including time with a suitable dog

Health Information

Valli has recently undergone dental treatment to address a lower canine tooth that was impacting her gum. This has now been treated, and she has recovered well.
Her new owners will be provided with an outline of her ball therapy to continue to support her dental health.
Dental costs can arise over time and may not be covered by insurance due to her history
No further dental procedures are expected at this stage, but routine monitoring is recommended.
