About Walter
Walter is an affectionate and sensitive dog who is best suited to a calm and predictable home.
On lead, Walter can become quite distracted by dogs or strong scents, sometimes resulting in a sudden directional pull.
Walter responds well to clear boundaries and direction and will require this on the occasions he becomes overstimulated.
With the right support Walter will thrive as a pet.
Where I grew up
I grew up in an apartment environment with a consistent daily routine and close contact with my carer. I’m used to moving between familiar spaces and spending most of my time alongside people.
My days included relaxed mornings, outings to parks, cafes, public transport, and city walks, followed by regular rest periods. I naturally follow a structured rhythm, including morning and afternoon naps, and I’m comfortable settling in my crate.
A good fit for me is...
A home that can provide:
* An experienced owner confident managing distractions on walks
* Consistent routines and calm handling
Walter will do best in a home without young children where his environment can be kept predictable and low pressure.
My personality traits
Walter is a highly affectionate dog who forms strong attachments and thrives on close companionship. He seeks out connection and enjoys being near his person, often wanting to be involved in day‑to‑day activities.
He is confident, curious, and socially motivated, with a strong interest in other dogs and the environment around him. This can present as excitement and over‑arousal, particularly on walks or in stimulating settings. He may jump up briefly when greeting visitors and is still building his ability to settle in busy spaces such as cafes.
He does not tend to bark and shows a calm presence in the home once settled into his routine.
With patient, consistent handling and clear boundaries, Walter has the potential to develop greater regulation and grow into a loyal, deeply connected companion.
