About Zeena

Zeena is an incredibly sweet, affectionate and people‑focused young dog with a joyful personality. She’s clever, eager to please, and generally very easy to live with. Zeena is an active and excitable pup, but she has fairly good manners and responds well to guidance and reminders.
She enjoys toys—especially soft toys—and will often pick one up when she becomes excited as a way of regulating herself. Zeena is funny, smart, and a genuine joy to have around.

Where I grew up

Zeena has spent around nine months living in an inner‑city, double‑storey townhouse with her full‑time puppy carer. The home environment was calm and consistent, and Zeena settled well into daily routines.
She has also attended a workplace, spending time in a kindergarten setting. There, Zeena was calm and settled, gentle with children, and managed well both on tether and in a crate when needed. She was able to relax during quiet periods and accompany her carer to staffroom and office spaces.
At home, Zeena is generally very good. She may become excited when visitors arrive and will occasionally jump, but she responds well to reminders and redirection—she simply wants to be everyone’s friend.

A good fit for me is...

Zeena would be best suited to adopters who:
Are looking for an affectionate, people‑oriented companion
Can provide an active but predictable routine
Are comfortable using a halter, which she manages easily
Have the capacity to continue support for separation anxiety
Are willing to continue her veterinary‑prescribed fluoxetine for several months while she settles into a new home and routine

Zeena has made meaningful progress with her separation anxiety with the support of medication and management strategies. We are seeking adopters who can maintain this approach, including safe confinement (such as crating) when needed, to help her continue to feel secure.
