About Woora-D
Woora is a young, large and strong Labrador who has grown up in a loving, structured home environment. He is a very sweet and affectionate boy who enjoys cuddles on his own terms and shows a strong desire to learn and please his people.
Woora is highly responsive to cues, engaged in training, and walks very well on a headcollar, particularly considering his size and strength. He is a big “cutie pie” with a lot of potential in the right home.
Where I grew up
Woora has spent the past 11 months living in a suburban, single‑storey home with his full‑time puppy carer and her husband. The household is frequently visited by grandchildren, often with one to three young children present at a time.
He has lived with another puppy in the home and is familiar with everyday household routines. Woora has shown some alert barking and jumping at visitors and can vocalise if frustrated, particularly when separated from his carer by a baby gate or play pen. He may be restless initially when left alone or confined, but typically settles within around 10 minutes.
A good fit for me is...
Woora would suit adopters who:
Are confident and physically capable of handling a large, strong dog
Have experience with high‑energy or adolescent Labradors
Can continue consistent training, structure and clear boundaries
Are proactive in managing excitement and over‑threshold behaviours
Are comfortable using training equipment such as a headcollar
Can support him through frustration and excitement with calm, consistent handling
Because Woora can become highly excited and activated, he may rush, pull, and accidentally knock into handlers when overstimulated. Ongoing training and thoughtful management will be important to help him succeed.
My personality traits
Very sweet, affectionate, and people‑oriented
Willing to learn and eager to please
Walks nicely on a headcollar
Can vocalise when frustrated or over‑excited
Easily activated when over threshold and around distractions
May jump or rush when excited, particularly given his size and strength
Responds well to verbal redirection and training cues
Woora’s biggest strengths are his responsiveness, trainability, and affectionate nature. His main challenge is managing excitement and arousal levels, especially in stimulating environments or when frustrated. With the right support, he has all the foundations to be a wonderful companion.
