About Reddy
Reddy is a gentle, affectionate girl who wins hearts quickly with her calm presence and love of cuddles. She has spent time out in the community, including attending a workplace with her carer, where she was either on lead or loose and remained settled, relaxed and well‑mannered throughout. She enjoys being out and about, but equally values downtime and rest — making her a lovely balance of companion and couch‑buddy.
Reddy has hip dysplasia, with her hip scores placing her in the high‑risk category, and moderate osteoarthritis.
Important things to know:
She showed no lameness on examination
Ongoing management is recommended to slow progression
Starting arthritis injections (e.g. Pentosan) is advised
Weight management, appropriate exercise, and joint support will be important
Because of her medical needs, a 50% reduction in adoption fee applies, to support her future owner in managing her care.
Where I grew up
Reddy grew up in an apartment with an adult female, in a home with:
Quiet noise levels
Moderate daily activity
Predictable, consistent routines
She did not sleep overnight in a crate with her puppy carer, as she found this upsetting and barked. She is therefore best suited to a home where overnight crating is not required.

She walks beautifully on lead and is very easy to manage when out — relaxed, responsive, and happy to be left tethered outside a shop without barking.

Reddy can be a bit naughty at times — she is known to destroy toys (and the occasional piece of furniture) and is coprophagic. That said, her sweet, loving nature makes it very hard to stay annoyed with her. In another life, she’d likely make a wonderful therapy dog.
