About Pebbles
Pebbles is a delightful, people-loving dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She has been part of a structured training program and has impressed everyone she’s met with her willingness to work, her enthusiasm, and her ability to form strong bonds with her people. After careful consideration, Pebbles is now looking for a pet home where her needs can be fully met and appreciated.
Where I grew up
Pebbles grew up in a country town with two adults and shared her home with another dog, a 6-year-old Lab cross. She is familiar with home life, routines, and companionship with other dogs. She has also spent time in a variety of environments, including puppy carer homes, youth programs, staff carer homes, and workplace settings such as TAFE, where she showed she can settle calmly for periods of the day.
A good fit for me is...
Pebbles would thrive in a home that understands and can support her alert nature. The primary reason for her career change is persistent alert barking in a home environment. This behaviour has been consistently observed across multiple settings including when in training and in the foster carer home.
Pebbles can respond to both visual and auditory stimuli, including sounds she cannot see (even when window access is restricted).
Because of this, Pebbles would be best suited to:
• A home that is understanding of alert barking
• Ideally a quieter environment or one with experience managing vocal dogs
• Owners who are patient, consistent, and happy to continue working on training and management strategies
• A home that can provide mental stimulation, play, and structure.
