Seeing Eye Dogs Australia open day on March 5

29 January 2016

Seeing Eye Dogs (SED) is thrilled to be hosting its annual public open day at its National Kennel and Puppy Centre in Kensington.

People are invited to learn more about Seeing Eye Dogs and participate in guided tours where they can explore the extensive facilities, which feature a rehabilitation therapy pool, breeding centre and public viewing platform directly into the heart of its kennels and puppy play centre.

This family-friendly day promises to be both fun and educational, where people can watch Seeing Eye Dogs at work, and gain a better understanding of how Seeing Eye Dogs helps to transform the lives of people who are blind or have low vision.

It costs up to $50,000 to train one Seeing Eye Dog and SED receives limited government funding.

As the only national provider of Seeing Eye Dogs within Australia, SED is committed to offering their services at no cost to the client, which makes community support and education vital to its success.

Seeing Eye Dogs is a division of Vision Australia.

Please note: SED’s Open Day is a pet free event.
